Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to this month at our family-owned care home in Macclesfield.
🍰 Afternoon Trips & Local Laughs
Our regular afternoon stroll to the local pub has become a highlight for many of our residents. Just a short walk from Riseley House, it’s a chance to soak up fresh air, enjoy good company, and share a drink with the friendly locals who always make us feel so welcome. Laughter echoed as old stories were swapped over a pint, creating treasured memories with neighbours and friends.
🎃 A Halloween to Remember
On 27th October, we opened our doors for our much-anticipated Halloween party. Residents, families and friends joined in the festivities, with spooky decorations, homemade treats, and costumes galore. These moments of joy help our residents feel truly connected – not just to each other, but to the wider community that surrounds us.
🌿 Garden Centre Outing – A Splash of Early Festivity
We also paid a lovely visit to Fairways Garden Centre in Sutton this month. The Christmas decorations were already on display – a surprise to some of us, but certainly a spark of early excitement! Residents browsed the beautiful displays, discovered “soap-soaked sponges” (who knew?!), and finished the trip with a comforting cup of tea and a slice of cake.
